Argh. My apologies for the absence, it was not at all intentional. It has just been a super-busy two months at our house.
Isaac started a new therapeutic preschool program, and so far it's everything that the other program was supposed to be and so totally wasn't. It's three mornings a week, and I think after four weeks we're almost into the new routine. We're seeing communication progress already. We also finally pulled off a successful hearing test, and Isaac can hear just fine, which was a huge relief.
I turned 39 in April, and Dennis and I celebrated with a night! away! in Santa Cruz. There is a B&B that we really like, and thanks to the craptastic economy and our willingness to be there on a Monday night, we got a great deal on their best suite, the one with its own private deck and hot tub. It was wonderful; the boardwalk was open for spring break, so we got to ride the bumper cars and play skee-ball. I love Santa Cruz. Dennis' mom watched Isaac, who enjoyed his Grandma spoiling immensely.
I have been out @ garage sales or flea markets every weekend, and have had some major Thrift Karma happening. Recent finds range from a big plastic slide for Isaac ($5!) to a really bizarre piece of fabric printed with tips for enjoying your sauna use. In Finnish.

I did a little makeover on this garage sale find to make it fit in with Isaac's room:
And, because I can't not post photos of the boy, here is Isaac with his trains.
