Poor sick Isaac. He came down with a post-travel cold, and had a rough weekend. We took him to the doctor on Friday, and there's nothing going on besides a big ol' head cold, so we're just waiting it out. He's getting better, but last night's NO SLEEP baby left his parents a bit zombie-fied today.
Since we got back, he has been very interested in the tray attachment that goes on his swing. It has fishies that slide back and forth on a track, and is a suitable place to store extra blocks until they are needed for smashing and gnawing purposes. We think it looks like a desk, and call him Executive Isaac, CEO of Grumble Industries (a division of GrouseCo). Sometimes his stuffed bunnies come by for meetings, but they are usually flung to the ground in disgust, not having met their sales quotas.
Isaac's photo session in Tennessee went very well. Here's my favorite:
I'm feeling a bit bleh creatively right now; I'm hoping to find some time soon to sew or work on the nursery or...something. I don't know, I'm just not doing anything very cool lately and it's starting to get to me. That said, here are the socks I knit for my dad for father's day, which were kind of nifty. The yarn is Trekking XXL wool/nylon with Louet solid black wool heel/toe/cuff. Beaded rib pattern over five stitches on size 1 needles for everything but the sole, which is stockinette on 0s. I used a toe-up pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks.
I successfully upgraded the tivo with a new, bigger, functional hard drive, so we can stop watching regular TV like animals. It took about 15 minutes, using the kit I bought from here. Now we need to set up our season passes again, and go through the whole housebreaking and training process.
