Our trip here on Tuesday was great; Isaac is the best little travellin' man.
He barely fussed at all, and was in a good mood most of the time. When we got to Nashville, the gate wasn't ready yet, so we had to sit on the plane for ten minutes or so. While we were waiting, he just started laughing his cute little machine-gun laugh. We don't know what was so funny, but whatever it was, it was hilarious, because he just kept on laughing until we got to the gate.
After that, we drove to Knoxville in our Giant Rental Car. I forget how small the Beetle is sometimes, this Mercury sedan felt like our living room. One of the fun things about leaving California is seeing the cars the rest of the country drives; at home, it seems like every other car is a Beetle or a Prius, and everything by Ford or GM is an SUV, but here people drive big American cars. And they drive them damn fast, I might add.
Isaac is enjoying being the center of his grandparents' world, and is working on his plan to charm the entire state of Tennessee, one southern lady at a time. Everywhere we go, he's all smiles and cuteness.
