We had a very upset Isaac on our hands tonight. Everything went fine at first, he breastfed well and was very charming. Then when we were getting him tucked back in to his crib, something set him off. He cried. And cried. We changed his diaper and checked all his wires to be sure he wasn't getting pinched by any of them, and held him, and he still cried. We ultimately got him quieted down with a tight swaddle, a blanket over the crib to block the light, and some soft talk from Dennis.
The whole thing only lasted a few minutes, but we felt pretty inept until it was over. Ultimately, though, we think we handled it reasonably well.
He was a good eater again today. I got almost a whole feeding into him with the bottle this morning. I think he's starting to figure it out.
