moved!

We are moved, or at least all of our stuff is in the new apartment. The move itself on Saturday went very well, we had a ton of great help and I only overdid it a bit. I couldn't really walk by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and spent most of Sunday in bed or sprawled on the sofa, but I recovered pretty quickly and we made it out to a Snakes on a Plane matinee just to get away from the chaos for a bit.

We still have a lot of sorting and such to do, and putting things other than Gracie into cabinets and closets and bookshelves. She has thoroughly checked out every cabinet and closet and empty shelf, and pronounced them Good. She doesn't seem especially traumatized by the move, and certainly approves of having stacks of boxes to climb on, and all the lovely new windows and places to lie in wait for ankle-prey. Dennis took her out on the patio for the first time today, for some supervised rolling and sunbathing, and that made her insanely happy.

I'm wrapping up the second trimester, and my physical bulk is definitely increasing. I am chock full o' baby. I'm also the klutziest person on earth. I had a spectacular tripping accident on Wednesday and damaged my left foot a bit, but I think it's going to be ok. I've been banned from all projects involving stepladders and carrying large things until I can figure out where my feet are. Of course I'm accepting this with quiet dignity and not feeling at all frustrated that my body doesn't work the way I want it to.
