doing something intelligent for a change

I'm sure there is something sillier than feeling the baby having hiccups, but I'm not sure what it is.

I can now reveal the shocking news of Sara and Dennis making an intelligent, rational decision. We've decided to put off our moving date for a week, and move a week from Saturday instead of this Saturday. It's Hell Week (oops, I mean Vacation Bible Camp) at St. Ned's, and Dennis is busy slowly painting the rector's office with his still-healing ankle (he re-injured it last week, and now has a brace, which is helping) plus he has a bunch of tight writing deadlines, and we are feeling like we're stretched pretty thin as it is.

I was obsessing about it last night and then realized....hey....wait...why are we all gung-ho to move on the 12th again? I emailed some key players, like our landlord, this morning, and surprise, it actually works better, and we'll get more helpers, if we wait a week. So that's what we'll do. I feel a lot lighter already.

We bought three big laundry baskets to help us carry things upstairs, which also means that we get to trash the old, broken ones after we move. Living high on the hog, we are. But I figured that will be a good solution for things that don't really need to be packed into boxes for the short trip up the stairs.

Random bit of the day: do you know someone who needs a reminder call about Snakes on a Plane from Samuel L. Jackson?
